The Professional Appointee Court Expenditure program (PACE) is a county program used to pay attorneys, doctors, investigators, experts, and other professionals appointed by the Superior Court of California, County of Los Angeles. ePACE is a web application that allows PACE claims to be submitted to the Court for payment.

Types of Cases

Civil

A court system for private parties to resolve Disputes, Lawsuits, Evictions, Collections.

Criminal

Criminal offenses fall into one of three categories: Infractions, Misdemeanors, or Felonies.

Family Law

Child Custody, Child and Spousal Support, Divorce, Domestic Violence, Parentage, Restraining Orders.

Juvenile

For cases that involve children under 18 years old. Dependency Court and Juvenile Justice Court fall under this category.

Mental Health

A centralized court for cases involving mental disorders and mental health legal issues.

Probate

Descendent's estates, Trusts, Guardianship, Conservatorships and Minor's compromises

Small Claims

A civil court handling disputes of $12,500 or less.

Traffic

Involves a citation or ticket written by a law enforcement officer. Violations: Traffic laws and other non-traffic offenses.

Appellate

The Appellate Division reviews the trial court decisions, and all evidence presented.
